Python or HTML for tying together mobile and desktop
I’ve been looking into android development for a while, but also want to work on desktop apps. So it leaves me wondering: what to do to work on desktops, laptops, and phones?
When I was looking into it, HTML5 looked promising, but it seems like such a pain in the neck to develop for, even with CoffeeScript.
Native Client looks promising, but right now it’s a good way to target multiple desktop and laptop platforms…on Google Chrome.
For about the billionth time lately, my search is leading me toward Python. PyGame has been ported to Android, and there’s been noise about getting PyGame working on NaCl, but I haven’t found anything definitive.
Anyone have any alternative suggestions? I’d love to hear from you.
